This Saturday we arrived at the Happy Watoto Homes & Schools. Dutch social worker Walther picked us up from the airport and showed us around at Kikatiti and Ngorika. We got the chance to meet the matrons and patrons, and some of the children while having dinner together. On Sunday Walther took us to go the market with the piki piki and the dala dala. In the evening we had dinner again together with all the children and the staff. Monday was the first day of school for the children after the holidays! We were introduced officially to all the children and the teachers from Ngorika School during the day opening outside, when they sing the national anthem. Later that day we visit classes 5, 6 and 7 and teached them something about the Netherlands. Today, the 12th of January, is a public Tanzanian holiday, so the school was closed. We played soccer and the game Uno with the children. After reading a bed-time story to the little ones, it was time for bed.
